This app is designed to teach young people simple mindfulness and relaxation skills. During this time of uncertainty it may be a useful support. It can be used to help mindfulness practice when playing the Mindful Gnats desktop game (see www.peskygnats.com for details) or as a stand alone aid to mindful practice. Available also for Android and Apple devices (free).

Dear Parents, please find the attached e-mail addresses of all the teachers. As the school does not have e-mails for all parents you are asked to initially send an e-mail to the teacher of your child by Wednesday the 20th. Please note 6th class may contact Mrs Ahern. Children in need of support may contact Miss Mulvihill, Mrs Leahy (Miss Kearney), Mrs Flaherty (Miss O’Shaughnessy) and Mrs Horgan. We will contact you in the near future in relation to classes, book lists etc. Please note children will work from the current books when they return in September with a view to revision.
It is a pleasure to announce that our school has been awarded third Green Schools Flag. Our theme was WATER. We successfully developed awareness around water conservation and how to manage this important resource at home and at school. We reduced our school water consumption by 15%. Thanks to the green schools committee and all the pupils and staff for their help and dedication. Remember our green code. Turn off the tap, put Athea on the map.
Sadly, we have had to postpone the celebration of the First Holy Communion for the moment. We will celebrate together as soon as possible and we are looking forward to gathering together for the very special occasion. Miss Nolan prepared a lovely poster for all the Communion children, just to let them know that we are all thinking of them.
